Your FAITH Journey

Simple FAITH: Starting your journey with Jesus

What Simple FAITH is

Simple FAITH is a straightforward guide for anyone beginning their journey with Jesus Christ. It provides the essential basics every new believer needs to know and do.

Simple FAITH is:

  • A beginner’s guide to Christianity.
  • A four-session introduction covering five foundational truths.
  • Simple enough to understand in one conversation.
  • Practical enough to apply immediately.
  • Biblical enough to build a solid foundation.

Target audience:

  • New Christians (first days or weeks of faith).
  • Seekers investigating Christianity.
  • People with zero Christian background.
  • Anyone needing clarity on Christian basics.

The question Simple FAITH answers

“What do I need to know and do as a Christian?”

This is the first question new believers ask. They need clear, simple answers about:

  • Who God is and what He’s done.
  • How to have a relationship with Him.
  • What practices will help them grow.
  • What steps to take next.

Simple FAITH provides these answers without overwhelming new believers with complex theology.

The Simple FAITH acrostic

F – Father God Loves You

God created you, loves you unconditionally, and wants a relationship with you. Talk to Him in prayer.

A – Accept Jesus as Saviour

Everyone has sinned, but Jesus died for your sins and rose again. Repent and believe in Him to be saved.

I – Identify with Christ

You have a new identity. The Holy Spirit lives in you. Be baptised to publicly declare your faith.

T – Talk to God Daily

Pray and read the Bible every day to grow in your relationship and intimacy with God.

H – Help Others Know Jesus

Love God and love others. Join a church. Share your faith with those who don’t yet know Jesus.

What makes Simple FAITH unique

Simplicity without simplism: Simple FAITH doesn’t oversimplify the gospel. It presents essential truths clearly without distorting them.

Immediately actionable: Every point includes something you can do today. You don’t just learn about Christianity; you start living it.

Memorisable structure: The five-letter acrostic helps new believers remember foundational truths. They can recall FAITH anywhere, anytime.

Grace-based from the start: Simple FAITH introduces Christianity as a relationship, not religion. It emphasises God’s love and grace, not human performance.

Biblical foundation

Simple FAITH rests on Scripture:

F – Father God Loves You (John 3:16; Romans 5:8)

A – Accept Jesus as Saviour (Romans 3:23; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9)

I – Identify with Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 6:3-4)

T – Talk to God Daily (1 Thessalonians 5:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

H – Help Others Know Jesus (Matthew 22:37-39; 28:19-20)

Every point directly reflects biblical commands and promises.

How to use Simple FAITH

For personal study: Read through Simple FAITH slowly. Look up every Scripture reference. Answer the reflection questions honestly. Take the action steps seriously.

For one-on-one discipleship: Walk through Simple FAITH with a new believer over four sessions (one letter plus H together in session 4). Discuss questions. Pray together. Check on their progress weekly.

For small groups: Use Simple FAITH as a four-week introduction for seekers or new Christians. Encourage discussion. Share testimonies. Pray for each other.

For evangelism: Simple FAITH provides a simple framework for sharing the gospel. You can explain the basics of Christianity in one conversation using the five points.

When you’ve completed Simple FAITH

Completion doesn’t mean you’re done with these truths. You’ll apply them for life. But you’re ready for deeper exploration through FAITH Foundations.
